Neg Mawon Riddim - FEATURING BROTHER B - Refusing to be enslaved by the coloniser, the Maroon risks his or her life for freedom and emancipation. The Neg Mawon Riddim celebrates the powerful and lasting influence of our African ancestors in what is now present day Caribbean culture, especially in our form of music. The authentic culture of Jab Jab, can be identified in any Caribbean island that once housed enslaved Africans. Today, statues of the Black Maroon (Neg Mawon) can be seen in Haiti and Dominica.
